Green Laser Pointers

These items are really supposed to be for fun, but, needless to say, some people are going to go over the top with them ruining it for others who genuinely do use their green laser pointers sensibly.

Currently there is a video on YouTube showing a pointer shone at a police helicopter – can you believe anyone would be so stupid? I sincerely hope they were caught and they had the book thrown at them.

This is what I mean when I say that a few can spoil things for all the rest.

Used sensibly these pointers can be very useful as well as a fun thing. Think of how useful an item it would be if you liked to go hiking in wilderness areas. I think you could safely say, as long as your battery was fully charged, that you would never be lost.

If you did find yourself in this situation at least it would give the search and rescue teams a direction to follow if you displayed your beam.
To use a pointer this way is very useful and is a good safety factor.

These pointers come in a huge variety of power levels, 15mW, 35mW, 55mW, 75mW, 95mW, 125mW and 150mW. There are other strengths but I don’t think they are actually known simply as ‘pointers’.

Naturally the strength you choose to buy depends upon what you intend to use the pointer for. Are you interested in astronomy? Think of how you can highlight the stars, how you are going to be able to pick out particular stars to study.

When you decide that you would like to buy one of the green laser pointers there are many different prices you can pay. It will pay you to study all the products that are available to you, either online or offline, before you buy.

You are going to be looking at quite an expenditure therefore you need to be sure that you are going to get the one you want, before you pay your money out. It would be an expensive mistake to make if you bought one and found that it was not suitable for your requirements.

Some suppliers actually give you additional gifts such as LED light ball point pens, liquid filled LED Flash Lights, all sorts of things including stylish key chains and powerful torch lights.

Do your homework well and you could end up with a load more goodies than just the laser pointer.

On the downside unfortunately is the situation that these laser pointers can pose quite a serious risk to children who have been allowed to play with one, unsupervised. Their eyes are at risk concerning burns from high-powered pointers.

Children are never going to be as careful as they should be, they just don’t think ahead and this is why children should always be supervised when using a laser pointer.

Some of the damage can clear up, but not in every case and some residual damage can remain, and can degenerate to further sight loss in later years.

It is essential that children and adults alike realize that these green laser pointers [or other colors] are not really toys and should always be treated with the utmost caution to avoid any accidental damage to the users eyesight.
